Not quite an enthusiast website, but VOSA (the Traffic Commissioners) now have an online website at http://www.vosa.gov.uk - this includes Notices & Proceedings which you can use to work out basics about service changes, and operator locations, as well as a daily scanning search facility (go to Online Services - Bus Registration Search) to search for that day's registration submissions.
