Intel AnyPoint DSL 3240 Modem

BT supplied these modems to customers between 2002 & 2004. As a result of a product range change, Intel have now discontinued the modem. Their help & support pages, and more crucially for most of us, the modem driver files, are due to be wiped off their website any day now. So, I have added the installation information and driver files to download from this site. I will be keeping them here until circumstances dictate otherwise, so you can bookmark this page if you wish. 

I cannot provide assistance with setting these up, and these files/drivers are used entirely at your own risk.

The modem software below applies to the Intel®PRO/DSL 3220 Modem and the Intel® AnyPoint® DSL Modem 3240 when used with the following Windows versions:

• Windows 98 and 98SE
• Windows Millennium (ME)
• Windows 2000 Professional
• Windows XP Home and Professional

This software can be used to either perform an initial installation of the modem software, or to upgrade a previous installation.

  It is recommended that you have 50 MB of available space on your hard drive for successful completion of this procedure.

To download the DSL modem software for use with Windows, perform the following steps:

  Windows 98 and 98SE users may need a Windows CD on hand before installing this software update.

  To begin the software download, click to choose one of the following links:

• Download Now

  From the File Download dialog box, click to select Run this program from its current location, and click OK.

  Depending on the operating system (OS), the File Download dialog box may appear differently. If this is the case, click Open to run the file from its current location.

  If a Security Warning dialog box displays, click Yes; otherwise, continue with Step 4.

  The contents will automatically extract and the Intel® AnyPoint® DSL Software Upgrade dialog box will display. This software can be used to upgrade existing modem software or can also be used for a new installation.

  From the Intel® AnyPoint® DSL Software Upgrade dialog box, read the license agreement. After reading the license agreement, click to select I accept the agreement, and click Next to begin the software installation.

Operating System: Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, Windows Me, Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Professional

These drivers are for the INTEL modems.
