First in Aberdeen are about to be the recievers of a handful of Volvo B6/Alexander Dash midibuses that were new to Capital Citybus in London, for LT service 236. During 2000 I got some photos of some of those that are now intended to go to Aberdeen. In the meantime, the buses have clocked up a serious amount of mileage, being transferred between First companies.

Left Capital 671 seen at Southgate tube station, doing a "hairy" working on Service W6. Right The more normal work for these vehicles was Service 236 across lots of tight turns and twists across North/North-East London. 677 is seen at Finsbury Park.

The second day of the Glasgow Bus Museum open weekend was today. A selection of vehicles that visited, and were resident, are shown here (also see last weekend Lathalmond photos)

Left F235 NLC is with the Open Door Trust/Christian Care In The Community, formerly with Stagecoach Fife, Allisons Coaches, and Mitchell's before that. The vehicle is a non-PSV, and for some reason was tucked away towards the back of the museum. Right GCS 43V is an ex-Western Leyland Leopard, still in Highland Country livery.
Left New-to-Tayside WTS 270T - then sold to Hill Motor Company - is now on preservation. It is now 10 years since a batch of Ailsas - but not this one - got loaned to Strathclyde following the first at Larkfield. Right 70 JZL, a former Dublin Bus Bombardier double decker.... is this the training bus I snapped up four years ago? I'll have a look back!
Left This former driver-trainer "Red" Atlantean has been acquired, with the rest of the batch, for future use/preservation etc.etc. Right Not a handrail? Well, 10 years ago "This is not a door" was affixed to the Tayside Ailsas centre doors. So, the First Manchester Mercedes Citaro brought along with one....
Left LA1443 is shown with lettering applied for a beer, applied for advertising in conjunction with the recent Champions League final at Hampden in May. Right Transport & General Workers Union "mobile learning centre" Leyland Tiger A38 VDS. This vehicle was prepared at Larkfield. Also... First in Manchester's Citaro was shown last week at Lathalmond. However, the Optare Solo was also here... but with National Express window bills!
Left A purple Leopard Right The other one! On the left, the ex-Kelvin Leyland Leopard that has also been re-fitted by Larkfield... this time for use as a opbile surgery by a politician. The only purple Leopard? No! Arriva Scotland have two Plaxton Derwent-bodied Leyland Leopards, which came when Arriva Cymru acquired the business of Purple Motors (weak link? **** off!)

Two "golf" towns have exchanged vehicles for a few days. Stagecoach in Perth have sent two Volvo B6LE's to Fife St Andrews, while two Mercedes minibuses go off to do work for the golf at Gleneagles this week/end. The two buses on loan to St Andrews are being used on Park & Ride.

Left 492 and right 493, from Stagecoach in Perth, seen in Petheram Bridge Car Park, working on St Andrews Park & Ride.
Stagecoach in Fife Dennis Dart 687 seen in Market Street, St Andrews.
